SUMMARY
A mysterious guy that calls himself a "part-timer", but works for a paranormal investigative group named Libro de Libero (LDL) searching for "God's love". Gives off an impression of being cold, but has an unusual amount of courage and is unfazed by trivial things. He's hot-blooded and admires "cool" heroes, but is also intelligent, hard-working, and passionate about his family and romance.
APPEARANCE
Really thick, scruffy brown eyebrows and hair that comes nearly to his shoulders at the neck; he uses hair wax and occasionally ties it back, but that's about it. His pupils are greenish-black, but so small that it always seems like he's looking away from people. Suffers from a chronic resting bitch face due to his facial muscles being dead, so he tends to look "creepy" when he tries to smile since the rest of his face doesn't move much. Really short and has a bit of a complex about it, in addition to how he looks in general. Despite being well-built from constant training, he doesn't like exposing much skin and really likes wearing coats with hoods. Wears either sneakers or work boots. Likes wearing rings (due to the fact that they make his punches harder). As a chainsmoker, he usually has an American cigarette brand called Legion (equivalent to Marlboros) in hand and often smells like them.
HISTORY
Has no memories before leaving the operating room of the Empyrean Heavenly Research Institute as a test subject for hosting cells; his racial roots and identity are completely unknown, essentially making him an anonymous child lab rat.
After the incident in 1999, he's rescued by Minoru Harada (Sanemitsu Isoi) from the laboratory. While escaping to Italy, he expresses he wants to be Sanemitsu's child, and consequently inherits the name and birthday of "Reiji Isoi". From then on, he's welcomed by the members of Libro de Libero (a paranormal investigation team in search of "God's love") led by Seodore, and lives with Sanemitsu as both his son and a member himself. Reiji subsequently received love, education, and influence from everyone to grow strong both physically and mentally.
While he appears to be unfriendly and cold-hearted, he is in reality a thoughtful and kind-hearted young man. His coldness is partially due to having a strong sense of conviction in what he wants to protect. He understands Sanemitsu's suffering and has always wanted to help him — his reason for seeking "God's love" in LDL is similar to Sanemitsu's, which is ultimately what leads him to join the execution team of a certain rescue operation. His love for Sanemitsu and his unwavering individual determination are both strong enough for him to die for.

As an Empyrean Host bearing cells, Reiji is very physically strong with what he calls his "meathead ability". Abnormally so, to the point that he can kick massive metal doors or walls in, move giant statues, remove reinforced structures to carry them around, and punch through organic flesh and bones easily upon activation of the ability. He also maintains an unnaturally fast healing ability, able to simply rest even major damage to himself off. He was able to go head-to-head to an extent with two of the strongest Empyrean Hosts beneath the source of the cells, so in tandem with his martial-arts training he's really annoying to fight and hard to kill. If you want to do something major injury -> death-wise though, lmk and we can workshop.
Although he exaggerates the extent of what all he can drive (or fly) to sound cooler, he is a licensed motorcyclist and has experience with many other types of vehicles. He knows how to use firearms as well, and is shown to be a pretty good shot.
Decent at reconnaissance, since that's what the majority of his job entails.
He's fluent in Japanese, English, and Italian.
